In the event of an unforeseen closure, the Library will hang signs on the entrance doors, and when possible, post an announcement on Facebook or Instagram. Program attendees will be notified via the contact method provided at the time of registration for the program.

GHAL offers you so many options. Traditional reading materials are available during generous business hours, as well as electronic versions from the comfort of your own home at any time. You’ll be able to choose from programs for all ages on a variety of topics. Other organizations in the community join in as we come together to serve you with programming and information.
If you need help with ever-changing technology, or your printer simply ran out of ink, GHAL has you covered. For the hundreds of people who walk through our doors every day, there is a service. The staff can help you find the answer or information to lead you to the next step of your quest. Suggestions are always welcome so send us a message today.
How to get a FREE library card:
1. Register in person at the Library during regular business hours
2. Bring 2 forms of ID: one with your name and current address (ex: utility bill) and one government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, state ID card, passport)

Westmoreland County Libraries Federated System
GHAL belongs to Westmoreland County Libraries (WCL), which is a system of 23 public libraries serving Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. It was formed in 1993 to consolidate resources and secure funding for library services from the county and state as a federated system, according to LibGuides. The WCL aims to ensure all residents have access to high-quality library services.
